The lid has a useful locking mechanism which keeps it open - there's no need to lean the lid against other objects. Alternatively, the lid can be completely removed if required. The Thermowell features a handy automatic defrost cycle, removing the need for manual defrosting. If required, the Thermowell can be mounted on a wall to optimise the efficiency of your prep area.
